Best of Bootie is a dance party that happens at different clubs in the NYC area a couple times a year. This night it was at Le Poisson Rounge. Their specialty is that they only play mashups : a mix where the vocal track of one song is mixed over the instrumentation of another. Entry tonight was $10 before 11 and $20 after. Free CDs were also given out to the first 100 people. Coat check was $3 per item. They also had a “Kiss Me I’m Irish” booth.

* Smootcie Bootchie!
Here’s what our “Tasters” thought. Click the Names to find out more about them.

Zero : I’m extremely biased when it comes to Best of Bootie since I love the music and have been going to these parties for about 3 years maybe. Of course I’m going to love it no matter what.
But did we manage to scrounge up any dirt while attending? Come find out.
So we got there a little late. Maybe 12? Should have come earlier though cuz we all had to pay the $20 cover. Pricey but our own fault for not showing up earlyBIRD style. As we walk down the stairs, check our things, and open the double doors………….the party was already well underway.

VirGIN: I’ve been to LPR before but not on this side. The venue was definitely very suited for this type of party as the whole crowd ( a big one at that ) was already bootie shaking hard. The main DJs were spinning on their own stage but the nice thing was that you could go up there and join them. Interesting experience as many people were dancing right behind them too.

Zero : I’m not sure if this happens at all the Bootie parties but at Public Assembly and Santos Party House you could also go up on stage as well. This is usually where I’m at the whole night. Leaning into the crowd and singing along with all the songs.

VirGIN: There was also a kissing booth stage located on the opposite side of the DJ performance end. I guess people went there to make out? Not really sure what the deal was. We were basically on the dance floor the whole night.

No where else but here.
